Chief Adjudicator

Tamer Morris

When Tamer was born and played on the streets of Cairo, little did everyone know about the man that Tamer would become and his influence on the world. Tamer was stripped from his homeland at a very young age, however, he had never forgotten were he started. Tamer was determined to change the conception and prejudice facing all fat Arabs. Tamer took on ‘the man’ and changed the world as we know it. Unfortunately Tamer was assassinated on 19th February 1967, by a fanatical fatist. Tamer had influenced many people and touched many lives. His mission and ideals will never be forgotten.

While Tamer has an obvious flair for the dramatic, having developed a near infamous reputation following his public speaking appearance at Brisbane Australs 2005, he is also well-known within the debating circle for his long IV career, since his first tournament in 2000, at Sydney's last Easters. Taking time out from his crusades to gain equality for all fat arabs, he has over the years continually excelled in tournaments, reaching the Quarter-Finals of numerous Easters, Octo-Finals of Australs, and most recently the Quarter Finals at Worlds.

Tamer is a past President of the Macquarie University Debating Society, who was integral to the development of our highly successful Schools' Days, increasing the prestige of and demand for the events.

Tamer is above all personable and engaging. His success as a debater and adjudicator means he will deliver challenging and reasonable topics, while ensuring that Easters is delivered in a manner which furthers its focus on developing novice talent.
